A Little Love Story
Once upon a time...
There was a boy that went to college. He lived in the dorms. One day a girl walked into his dorm room and said "Hello." After that, she never walked out of his life.
They actually did a lot of walking together...they walked to class, walked to dinner and walked after dinner. Sometimes the boy would eat ice cream after dinner and he would eat it really loud. That sometimes bothered the girl. BUT she loved him anyway.
When they were about to finish their first degrees at college, the boy asked the girl to marry him. She said yes. They were happy.
Several months later, they were married and lived in a little apartment while the boy worked hard at school getting his credential and finally a Masters degree in History. He was so smart. He eventually landed his career in school district finance and budgeting.
One day they decided to celebrate their love and flew across the ocean to Paris. They had a lovely time there and walked a lot. Being on top of the Eifel Tower was magical.
Soon, they wanted to start a family but it was really hard and they were sad. So, the girl decided to go back to school and try for a Masters in Early Childhood. Soon after, they bought their first home and couldn't wait to fill it with children.
Finally that day came and they DID have a baby. A REALLY big baby boy (10lbs, 4oz. to be exact). They loved him.
The girl kept going to school and the boy encouraged her to finish. BUT then she got pregnant again. "Can I finish school," she said. "Yes, you can," the boy said. They had a baby girl and they loved her.
And the girl DID graduate with her Masters degree in Early Childhood all while nursing a baby as she walked that graduation line.
The boy worked so hard and the girl was able to stay home with the kids while still doing some fun Early Childhood consulting on the side. He was her superhero.
One day, the girl said, "I want to adopt." The boy wasn't sure about this. Then the boy said yes. But they had to say goodbye to their first hope of adoption. They loved him.
The boy and girl found a new home perfect for more children and MANY more memories. It was a beautiful home.
One year later God fulfilled HIS plan and filled that home with children and they adopted a boy AND a girl. They loved them.
With all this change came some difficulty. They went through some twists and turns and difficulty communicating. Lots of fighting...lots of un-forgiveness. They fought for their marriage.
All of a sudden they were celebrating 15 years of marriage. AND they loved each other. AND they give God the glory.
